Over the course of his over 20-year investment banking and strategic consulting career, Brian has advised clients across an assortment of industry segments, including aerospace, manufacturing and distribution, consumer products, technology, and telecommunications.

He has successfully advised over 100 business owners and entrepreneurs on a variety of sell-side and buy-side advisory, recapitalization, growth equity, and strategic advisory engagements.

Matt Rechtin

Matt is a Managing Director at Meridian Capital and leads the firm’s Construction Technology investment banking practice. Over the course of his career as an investment banker, Matt has advised on over 10 construction tech transactions and clients across an assortment of sub-industries within tech, including software, internet, hardware, systems and semiconductors.

He has successfully advised U.S. and international public companies and privately held businesses and entrepreneurs on a variety of sell-side and buy-side, recapitalization, growth equity, and strategic advisory assignments up to $100B in value.

Prior to joining Meridian, Matt led the U.S. software investment banking practice at EY in San Francisco and worked as an investment banker in the technology practices at Wells Fargo, Lazard and RBC Capital Markets in San Francisco.

Justin M. Borrowdale

Justin focuses on counseling both public and private clients through finance transactions, merger and acquisition deals, and related commercial transactions.

He has experience working with both selling and acquiring companies on M&A deals and both companies and investors on financing transactions. He assists

companies in solving corporate governance and commercial agreement issues, including complying with SEC and NASDAQ reporting obligations for his public

Dan Schoenleber

Dan Schoenleber is a partner, leading our transaction advisory services team with over 20 years of public accounting experience. He is a licensed CPA and has been working on mergers and acquisitions with clients for over 15 years. He assists clients through mergers and acquisitions b leading due diligence and quality of earnings engagements. He also assists clients in working capital negotiations and post-closing working capital disputes. Dan also serves as an expert witness for clients navigating M&A related disputes. Dan’s approach to client services allows him to forge solid, mutually respectful relationships with clients, ultimately increasing the efficiency on both sides of the transaction.


Dan has experience working with private equity firms as well as public and private companies helping them execute their M&A strategy. He has worked with clients in various industries, with a focus on manufacturing and distribution, technology, healthcare, and construction. Dan is active in his client engagements to ensure our clients receive the expertise they need for the transaction.



Dan received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Illinois College.

Shaun Buckley

Shaun has been providing TAS to clients for the past 29 years of his total 43 years of public accounting experience. Prior to joining Armanino, Shaun was a Partner in the TAS practices at two of the ten largest public accounting firms in the US. He is a licensed CPA in the state of Texas. He currently provides financial due diligence and structuring, deal process management, advisory services regarding transaction documents, and closing and post- closing services to private equity and private/public strategic clients.

Shaun has provided assistance on acquisitions, divestitures and recapitalizations covering a broad range of industries including construction, technology including Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), healthcare services, manufacturing & distribution, food processing & distribution, oil & gas services, business services and consumer products.

Shaun received his M.B.A in Finance and Operations Management from the Simon Graduate School of Business at the University of Rochester and his B.S. in Accounting from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
